What is the result of a Sectumsempra curse?
Taken from Harry Potter Wiki Sectumsempra is a Dark Magic curse invented by Severus Snape (under his alias of "The Half-Blood Prince") for use against his enemies, and it soon became one of his specialties. When uttered, its effect is the equivalent of an invisible sword, slashing the target repeatedly (as a sword would) and inflicting near-horrific scarring and internal bodily injuries, to the point they are disfigured or possibly killed. It works best on living targets (e.g. humans, animals, plants etc.), though has no noticeable effect on non-living or dead ones (e.g. rocks, walls, Inferi etc.)
The curse also has an anti-curse, also invented by Snape, but all that is known is that it is "an incantation that sounded almost like song", and sang in a "heavenly voice". The effects are immediate, as the worst of the curses' effects are removed near-instantly, and, combined with doses of Dittany, the scarring is reversed.
