First Quidditch Match

Well, we had our first Quidditch match this past Saturday, and while I believe Gryffindor played admirably, we were defeated by Slytherin House. I still had loads of fun though, it was my first Quidditch match ever, and I wasn't sure what to expect. Now that I'm not so intimidated I'm hoping I'll play better next time. I've made a few new friends at Hogwarts, and I'm really enjoying DA! (Shhh!) Things are really starting to take off in our Herbology class, so I'm hoping to learn some really useful things there! Well, I'm off to study for our first tests of the semester! Wish me luck! =)

I am allergic to: a second dose of amoxicillan...and some weird thing yet to be determined that causes my hands to swell and itch...it seems to only occur in places with lots of dust or where there would be a lot of germs (i.e. the zoo, downtown las vegas, after touching a handrail, after touching paint dust...etc.)

Pets that I have: Some fish, a Beagle named Righty, and missing our beloved Great Dane, Quincy.

My favorite yarn: OMG...I don't know. There are just too many, and really it depends on what it's for I suppose. I love wool...I especially like BFL and Cestari, depending on the project. I think my all time favorite right now is Elliebellies "Crayon" colorway on BFL, but Dashing Dachs "Goldfish" is a VERY close second. For cheapy yarns I like Cascade 220, and for non-wool I like almost anything really soft...right now I'm liking Caron Simply Soft, b/c it's cheap, soft, and you get a lot for the price...oh and there are lot's of colors to choose from...I prefer natural fibers though. I'd love to try some sock yarn that has sea silk in it.

If you are a Ravenclaw, do you prefer the film colors or the book colors?

My favorite flavor: Hmm, that's kind of a strange question, not food, but flavor. I like sour flavors, I'm not very picky. I don't like artificial watermelon flavor. I like orange as long as it doesn't taste like Triaminic, and cherry as long as it doesn't taste like cough syrup. I love strawberry flavor. I like sour apple. I love hazelnut, and I like chocolate. I *heart* Ferror Rocher (I'm sure I butchered that spelling! lol!) Twix is my favorite candybar. I don't know...hopefully that answers the question.

Ooh...this is a toughy...I'd love to knit myself some socks, but a yarn dyeing kit would be sooo fun too...I'm going to say a sock kit though b/c if I got a dyeing kit I'm sure I would never get a chance to dye it between my kids, cheerleading, and the daycare!

List your favorite brand of needles or hooks, including size and length: I like Addi Turbo's, but I have mostly Susan Bates stuff right now.

Is there a brand that you are dying to try?: I'd really like to try knit-picks options, I like wood and nickel, so I'm not picky there. I like size US 7 24" and 47" or 60" in US size 5, 7, and 0 for Magic Loop, I also like fixed circulars in size US 5 and 7 12" or 16".
