It's over...

Wow...I can't believe how fast this term went at Hogwarts! It seems like I was just finally starting to settle in, and get comfortable and into a routine and now it's already over! I had so much fun though, and I'm hoping I will be back again for another term, again as a proud Gryffindor! Roar Roar Gryffindor!

Not me Monday....

Joining in the fun from Susie's blog , which orginates at MckMama's blog, I am going to take part in "Not Me Monday."



I did not resort to just brushing and french braiding my hair before we went out to dinner last night with my in-laws even though I REALLY needed a shower.

I did not let the various children that were at my house all weekend (my own children, my sort of niece who is in my daycare, and my two nephews) jump on the beds in the daycare room whenever they wanted as long as they were careful just so I could get some stuff done.

I did not clean out three pumpkins with my husband at 11:00 at night on the 30th, only to actually carve one in time for Halloween, and I most certainly did not put all the pumpkins out on my porch, one of them only having one single triangle eye carved out of it!

I most certainly did not finish sewing my childrens Halloween costumes on Halloween night, only to have DD's be too small, and DS's have to big of a neck, which caused us to only be able to trick or treat for 1/2 an hour.

It definitely WAS NOT me who fell off the wagon and bought a gorgeous tie dye dress and matching t-shirt for my kids.

And, there's no way it could have been me who's been trying to make the same meal for dinner for a week now, but who's missing one ingredient so it still hasn't happened yet!

Gryffindor Homework #4

Let's try this again, since I'm an idiot and posted it to the HSKS6 blog the first time! LOL!

Sorry this is a little late...I had every intention of getting it done in time, and then my niece decided to suprise us all and come 3 weeks early! (@ 37 weeks 1 day, by c-section.) So here's my slightly belated answers...

1. Name your favorite magical creature, and describe why it is your favorite. Phoenix...they are beautiful, my favorite colors, loyal, caring, and it's so uniques, beautiful, wonderful, and incredible how the start a new life cycle.

2. Tell us your favorite charm, spell or curse, and explain why you like it. Accio...it's great for when I don't feel like getting up, and I need a pen, drop my knitting needles or darning needle, want my soda, or want a snack! LOL!

3. Describe your favorite holiday family tradition - which holiday and what makes it special. Christmas...every year since I was born my mothers side of the family has a family christmas party, and we celebrate together. It used to always be on christmas eve, but that's changed now, but it's still just about a time of being together with family, and sharing good food, and fellowship. It's also tradition that we sing Christmas Carols as a family!

4. Name your favorite fiber-based (knitted, crocheted, or spun) finished object: Right now, I'd have to say the ripple eyelet baby hat that I made my brand new niece for my SIL's baby shower, you can see it on my rav page...it's the first things I've done that was kinda lacy, and I really like how it turned out! =)

This weekend at Hogwarts...

This weekend at Hogwarts proved to be a VERY busy one! I took a few classes for extra credit, did some studying, some leisure reading, but mostly, I had a TON of Homework! I'm still trying to finish up some homework before my next class, and then I have to run off to the muggle post, and then off to coach muggle cheer practice! I really need to find a good charm for energy! LOL!

O.k. random facts...
1. I really want another baby
2. I did ballet for 15 years, and for a gradual less amount (does that even make sense?) Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip Hop...I also taught dance for a year.
3. I'm 15 lbs. from my goal weight, and for the first time in 3.5 years I weigh less than I did when I got pregnant with Coby.
4. I really truly believe my husband and I will celebrate our 75th wedding anniversary.
5. I run a home daycare which makes me absolutely insane...I love kids, but I think they have it in for me lately!
6. I should be knitting right now...and as always I'm behind on everything I need to be doing...maybe I should get off the computer!
7. I love cheetos...and lots of other junk food...which is why maybe those 15 lbs. are sticking around...that and I'm still breastfeeding so the increased size there isn't helping, oh and I love Christmas music...yes I know that's totally unrelated...that's just how I roll. LOL! =)

Phew, that was a workout! Now I REALLY need to get to my knitting...and hope I don't lose my mind with these kids today...I'm taking 3 under 3 to a baby shower at 3...hmmm that's kinda interesting. ;)
